International Paper Russia awarded for the best social project in the marketing field
The International Paper Russia project “The big circle to help little ones” awarded as the best in the “Social marketing” category. It was rewarded on April 8 at the IV annual program “The best social projects of Russia”.
Social responsibility is the contribution that companies can make to society. Understanding the importance of the assistance that could render a business, International Paper Russia in cooperation with the charity fund “Give Life” implemented a promotional campaign “The big circle to help little ones”. During the program from 2014 to 2015 one RUB from each sold promotional boxes of SvetoCopy paper was send for helping children with serious illnesses. Finally 18 million RUB were transferred into “Give Life” charity fund. These funds helped to purchase life-saving medicines and to provide timely medical assistance to many young patients.
“The best social projects of Russia” is an annual program carried out in 2013. It was established to support the Russian Government policy to strengthen social policy on the basis of partnership between the country, society and the private industry.
International Paper started its operations in Russia in 1998. Its main areas are the production and sale of office and offset paper, cardboard for fluid foods packaging, thermomechanical pulp. Production is located in the company’s own plant in Svetogorsk. International Paper is co-owner of the equal joint venture Ilim Group, the largest partnership with foreign participation in the Russian forest industry. The most famous International Paper brands in Russia are Ballet and SvetoCopy.
