Kiev Pulp and Paper Mill signed a contract with EBRD
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) granted a credit of € 10 million to the Kiev Pulp and Paper Mill (Ukraine). The funds will be spent for acquiring of new equipment to expand production, introduce EU industry standards and reduce CO2 emissions. It is planned to install a press shoe for cardboard drying in early 2019. It will allow to reduce the use of steam, increase production and improve the quality of coated cardboard.
It is planned to modernize the equipment for waste paper processing, new production cycle will be the first in the country that will meet the principles of resource and energy efficiency system applying in the EU.
Due to these investments the reduction of CO2 emissions in the company should reach up to 11 thousand tons per year.
