MITSUBISHI pre-feeder now in the world and already in Russia
Anna Salamandra, regional sales representative of MHI corrugating equipment in Russia&CIS, MHI Russia LLC, confirmed that NCh KBK named after S.P.Titov, CJSC (NKBK), that at the end of last year placed the order to MHIE for one EVOL100 flexo-folder-gluer, in early February placed an order also for Mitsubishi pre-feeder to be installed together with EVOL100. It will be one of the first Mitsubishi pre-feeders installed in the world and the very first one in Russia.
The prefeeder will be delivered to the customer’s plant together with the EVOL100 flexo-folder-gluer at the end of 2017.
The decision to place an order for the pre-feeder was made by NKBK after the specialists of the company visited Japan at the end of January 2017. NKBK delegation participated in the Open House organized by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Printing & Packaging Machinery Ltd. (Mihara, Japan), when the manufacturer for the first time introduced its new product – Mitsubishi pre-feeder – to the local market.
“We were very much impressed by steady and very accurate movements of the pre-feeder, while the EVOL was running at a maximum speed of 350 boxes per minute. The “couple” of the pre-feeder and the EVOL were running very smoothly and accurate, so noone could even doubt that should the EVOL run even at a higher speed, the pre-feeder would cope with the sheet feeding without any problems, ” – the customer representatives shared their opinions.
Before MHI have decided to develope its own pre-feeder, the company interveiwed its customers and found out that more than 30% of the EVOL production speed reduction is caused by problems and/or restrictions on the prefeeder’s side. These results forced Mr. Shimizu, President of MHI PPM, to make a decision to develop a Mitsubishi pre-feeder, which can ensure stable performance of the EVOL flexo-folder-gluer at a maximum speed.
It is also worth emphasizing that in fact, the new MHI pre-feeder is not a prototype. The technology used in Mitsubishi pre-feeder was developed before and already proved itself in Japan, where more than 30 machines are already successfully running. Mitsubishi slightly improved the exhisting pre-feeder and offered it to its customers.
Anna Salamandra continues: ‘We are very pleased that our cooperation with NKBK is developing and very much appreciate their trust in our company and in our products. It is very important for us, since the Russian market is one of the perspective markets for us where we expect to expand our presence in the near future. “
