Recovery of the waste paper market in Ukraine
Until 2015 Ukrainians were active giving off waste paper, and the volume of waste paper was approaching 190 thousand tons in those years, but the economic and political events in the country affected this market, and there was a decline a year before, but since the beginning of the current year, the volumes of waste paper have again started to grow.
Experts noted that the volume of the waste paper market in money terms exceeds the natural equivalent. In 2015 the recession of the waste paper market was 19.3 percent compared to 2014, and in 2016 capacity increased by 4.7 percent and reached 359.6 thousand tons.
Specialists said that large operators of this market are now working in the western, southern and central regions of Ukraine, since it is in these areas that the largest pulp and paper enterprises are concentrated. It is, first of all, the Malyn Mill, Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill, the Izmail Cardboard Mill, Zhydachiv Cardboard and Paper Mill.
