Ussuriysk CPM to be modernized
The Ussuriysk Cardboard and Paper Mill in Primorsky Krai, Russia, is going to be reconstructed. The initiator of the investment project is the resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok.
The investment project provides for step-by-step modernization of the existing cardboard and paper production, production of corrugated packaging, foundation of new production facilities, replacement of obsolete equipment with modern ones, carrying out repair and restoration measures, creating new high-tech jobs, expanding production and improving the quality of paper products in order to meet the needs of fishing, fish processing industry, agriculture and other industries in high-quality corrugated packaging for import substitution in the conditions of implementation of a number of state and regional programs for the development of the fishery complex in the Far Eastern Federal District.
The project is aimed at saving forest resources and protecting the environment.
1st stage of modernization (current stage of the project): the volume of paper and paperboard production is 6 thousand tons per month; the volume of production of corrugated packaging is 4,500-5,000 thousand square m per month.
2nd stage of modernization (perspective stage of the project): volume of paper and cardboard production is 9 thousand tons per month; the volume of production of corrugated packaging is 15,000 thousand square m per month; perspective production of polypropylene bags and other types of packaging.
Products of the project:
– cardboard for flat layers (roll paper products), grade K1;
– paper for corrugating (roll paper products), grade B0;
– three-layer corrugated packing (box);
– five-layer corrugated packaging (box);
– other types of packaging / paper products;
– promising products.
The program of measures at the Ussuriysk Cardboard and Paper Mill also includes the modernization of the energy sector, the gasification of the enterprise, the reconstruction of sewage purification plants, the prospective integrated development of the industrial site of the plant.
