Aleksinskaya PBM (SFT Group) increased the productivity of BM

At the beginning of February 2022, the Aleksinskaya Paper & Board Mill subsidiary of the SFT Group completed the modernization of production as part of the project “Increasing productivity to 145 thousand tons/year”. A modernized electromechanical drive of the board machine was put into operation, which will increase the speed of the machine to 660 m/min in a month.

In addition to increasing production volumes, the modernization will reduce the "scissors" in the production of products of high and low grams. And this will have not only an economic, but also a technological effect. BM produces containerboard from recycled paper, including innovative moisture-resistant products - an alternative to cellulose layers.

For dismantling of old equipment and installation of the new one, the continuously operating production was stopped on January 17. And already on February 1, it was launched again - two days ahead of schedule. This indicates the high quality of the training, the well-coordinated work of the SFT Group team and the professionalism of its employees. Each successfully implemented production modernization project is a great experience that helps the team build new competencies, grow professionally, and not be afraid to take on ambitious tasks in the future.

The project of the modernization of the Board Machine at the Aleksinskaya PBM is one of the systemic tasks provided for by the adopted Strategy of the Leader - 2030 SFT Group. The company's leadership presupposes constant comprehensive development and, in part, work to stay ahead of market requirements. In this regard, an investment program is being implemented at all sites of the Cardboard Division of SFT Group to increase the productivity and quality of products through equipment modernization, the introduction of high technologies and production automation.

So in the "leader plans" of SFT Group for 2022: start of the 3rd stage of modernization at the Kamenskaya PBM, transfer of the production of Kartontara LLC to 100% use of waste paper as a raw material and the launch of the active phase of the Oshten project (a new paper mill in Maykop).

In 2021, the enterprises of the SFT Group Cardboard Division produced 482,000 tons of cardboard and paper.
