Mitsubishi will upgrade the wet-end of Gotek’s corrugator

Mitsubishi Heavy Industry signed an order with Gotek Group (Russia) for a series of module upgrades for the company’s existing doublewall corrugator. Information was confirmed by Giovanni Bettini, Sales Director of MHI EMEA. 

The upgrades to the existing doubewall corrugator includes the installation of a high performance 60H single facer, preheaters, two splicers and two mill roll stands. The equipment will be installed later this year.

“With this upgrade and replacement of the existing pressure roll style single facer with our belt-type 60H, Gotek expects to increase the overall board quality and enhance the line’s performance,” states Bettini. “We are delighted to start working with Gotek, one of the largest packaging producers in Russia. We have known them for several years, after meeting them at a RosUpack exhibition; they were impressed with the overall build quality and performance of our equipment and ultimately made the decision to choose our equipment when they were satisfied we could fully support the equipment with our team of dedicated engineers in Russia and the extensive stocks of spare parts and service capabilities.”
