New equipment at Smurfit Kappa Moscow SOYUZ

The raised funds helped the company to buy a new production line for the production of complex corrugated cardboard secondary packaging.

Support to the company was provided as part of the Promkompleksy product of the Moscow Fund for Industrial and Enterprise Support. Loan size - 100 million rubles for a period of 5 years with the possibility of deferred payments. The loan rate was 2% per annum.

“The new equipment will allow the company to produce an additional 20-25 million m² of complex corrugated cardboard packaging annually and expand the range of products. A soft loan is not the only form of support for industrial production by the Moscow Government. In 2017, Smurfit Kappa Moscow SOYUZ JSC was granted the status of an industrial complex. The status reduces volume of payments on corporate income tax by 25%, and taxes on land and property by several times. The amount of benefits provided today is only 11 million rubles in 2019”, - said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Department of Innovation and Industrial Policy.

Total investment in the project amounted to 227 million rubles. (100 million - borrowed funds, 127 million rubles were invested by Smurfit Kappa Russia).

Witron corrugated board management system and information system of management of warehouse, procurement and finance ERP SAP, which together provide operational and strategic management of the company and complete and reliable process functionality, were installed at the Moscow production site.
