Pulp Mill Holding builds a new corrugated board plant in Ulyanovsk

In accordance with the development of corrugated packing business division of Pulp Mill Holding within the framework of corporate strategy of vertical integration and increase of share of deep processing products in the structure of holding revenue, the company has started the construction of a new corrugated board plant in Ulyanovsk (Provolzhsky Federal District).

Earlier on, Arkhbum JSC has purchased a plot of land, containing the buildings and и BHS corrugator without corresponding infrastructure facilities, from one of local companies.

Transaction amount is confidential.

At the present moment, the new plant of Group of Companies – branch of Arkhbum JSC in Ulyanovsk - is currently under construction. As explained by Irina Galakhova, CEO of Arkhbum JSC, a combined re-equipping program of plant is approved; it consists of two main stages: at the 1st stage (2020) the two converting lines and corrugator will launched (tender is ongoing), at the 2nd stage (2021 – 2023), launch of four processing lines, increase of warehouses square, etc.

The company estimates the cost of this program at 2,5 bln rubles.

Irina Galakhova also indicated the capacity of the new plant for the production of corrugated packaging and corrugated board in Ulyanovsk - 16 mln m² per month (annual capacity - 192 mln m²).

Ulyanovsk plant of Arkhbum JSC will be launched at the end of 2020.

The plant will produce products similar to those produced at the sites of JSC Arkhbum in Podolsk, Istra-1, Istra-2 and Voronezh: 3-and 5-layer corrugated products - regular slotted containers, rotary and flat die cutting boxes.

Thus, with the launch of the Ulyanovsk plant of Arkhbum JSC, the Arkhangelsk PPM will have five centers for the production of corrugated products.
